Lloyd is the Chief Crown Prosecutor for Calgary General Prosecutions (Alberta Justice). He began his prosecution career in 1993 in Edmonton, Alberta and relocated to Calgary in 1994. During his career Lloyd has had the conduct of a number of serious and complex prosecutions. He has represented the Crown in Provincial Court and the Court of Queen’s Bench for offences ranging from shoplifting to murder. Lloyd became an Assistant Chief Crown in 2006 and the Chief Crown Prosecutor in 2008.
In his spare time Lloyd is involved in Shorinji Kempo, a martial art incorporating self defence techniques and Zen philosophy. He is a 3rd Dan black belt in this Art and also teaches the Art to kids.
