As Chief Operating Officer for Brookfield Residential, Trent is responsible for overseeing the company’s Alberta operations. He joined Brookfield in September 2001 as Corporate Controller, progressing through roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Finance and Chief Operating Officer in Australia. Trent earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1994, followed by his Chartered Accountant designation. Having been in the residential real estate industry for 12 years, he is inspired and excited to be part of the Alberta’s energetic and growing communities. Sharing the same passion as Brookfield Residential in giving back to communities, Trent believes that a community can only be as strong as the bond of its people. He plays a key role in the company by leading collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, and inspiring his employees to participate in many avenues of philanthropic work. From twice shaving his head for cancer campaigns, to participating in The Ride to Conquer Cancer, to gutting basements for those impacted by the 2013 Alberta floods, Trent leads his team by walking the talk. Trent is humbled to be part of the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre. Raising his own four children, Trent believes that all children should have the opportunity to grow in a supportive and nurturing environment and is excited to be working with the Centre to create a better future for all children and their families.
